Dr.-Ing. Lucia Happe (LinkedIn) is a computer scientist and lecturer at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Her research focuses on model-driven software development (MDSD), software architecture, and performance engineering, with an emphasis on maintainability and quality prediction through model transformations. Her work was recognized with the Most Influential Paper Award at the International Conference on Software Architecture (ICSA).
She is also the founder of RockStartIT, an award-winning outreach initiative that engages teenagers through interdisciplinary, real-world computing challenges, and Thinkable.Space, a platform that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills in children and adolescents.
For her contributions to higher education, she has been awarded the LeLa Prize 2025 for outstanding digital computing education.
